Zurich, October 19th 2020: Andreas Meyer was elected Chairman of the Board of Starmind, the international tech company which uses artificial intelligence to make employee knowledge visible and accessible to the entire organization. The cloud platform is used in over one hundred countries to improve employee and organizational productivity and innovation. Starmind, founded and headquartered in Switzerland, is a world leader in this field.
Starmind has observed a strong increase in demand for its solution in recent months. Due to the surge in remote work and the lack of cross-team engagement caused by Covid-19, employees use Starmind to harness the expertise of all of their co-workers.
Recent studies show that the agility of large organizations is negatively impacted by the shift to remote work. Employees tend to limit knowledge exchange to their immediate team. Information silos, lack of innovation, and up to 2.5 hours of productivity loss per day from each employee searching for required information are among the consequences. Starmind’s AI solution helps to overcome these negative effects. It learns continuously who knows what within a company, connects the know-how of the entire workforce and enables all employees to access the collective intelligence of their organization.
"We have seen an 100% increase in usage of Starmind networks during the Covid-19 months and are confident that Starmind will become a necessity for any organization with remote workers”, said Starmind CEO and Co-Founder, Marc Vontobel. "We welcome Andreas as our Chairman. He will support our growth strategy and bring in his C-Level perspective to further develop our solutions for complex organizations with his vast experience on digital transformation“, said Marc Vontobel.
Andreas Meyer stated: "Starmind has a proven technology, developed by its founders at ETH Zurich and University of Zurich, already used by numerous international customers. It is now a matter of scaling up. The Starmind solution connects all employees directly with each other without the involvement of superiors. During Covid-19 times this becomes key to substitute informal information exchanges and to connect home-offices. Starmind‘s solution supports creative work and allows for significant productivity gains for faster and better access to know-how and experience on all levels of organizations”.
Starmind`s patented technology earned numerous international awards in the past years. ZP Europe recently recognized the company as the 2020 HR Innovation Award winner in the Transformation & Consulting category.
Starmind, founded by the 2 Swiss entrepreneurs Marc Vontobel (current CEO of Starmind) and Pascal Kaufmann (current CEO of Mindfire), unlocks employees’ collective intelligence and expertise to supercharge productivity, innovation and career development. Patented artificial intelligence generates employee skill profiles that are the foundation to identify subject matter experts and access employee knowledge within enterprises.
